Supported Learning Courses

This flexible course is for young people with moderate or specific learning difficulties. Students are encouraged to develop communication, numeracy and interpersonal skills, decision making and problem solving abilities. They will study vocational subjects including art and design, IT, catering, photography, ceramics, fitness training, engineering and construction. Work experience and a residential experience are an important part of the course. Applications for a place in Supported Learning require the young person to be in receipt of an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). You cannot apply online or directly to the college. A consultation must come from your Local Authority and on receipt of this a member of the Supported Learning team will contact you directly.
