“I first heard about West Thames College from a friend who studied the Makeup course here. She was having such a great time that I decided to attend an Open Day and see the college for myself. I was really impressed with the makeup studios and saw some incredible work on display that really inspired me.
“The National Diploma was the perfect choice as it included theatrical makeup – something I really wanted to learn. You’re taught the latest techniques in performance makeup and get to experiment with prosthetics and body painting. It’s really cool!
“Our lecturers are friendly and professional and maintain great links with the makeup industry. I’ve competed in competitions that allow you to be really creative and we took part in an amazing end of year showcase. I’ve now progressed onto the HND in Specialist Makeup and hope to compete at IMATS 2009.
“Coming to West Thames is the perfect training for a career in the industry. I would love to eventually be a professional makeup artist on TV and film productions.”
