Lecturer in Performing Arts

Tristan Parkes wrote and directed musical performances for the closing ceremony of the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games, which he was asked to recreate in front of Royalty at a Buckingham Palace state dinner. He has also been the musical director on a number of stage shows and has strong working links with the Donmar Theatre and the National Youth Theatre.
“The Performing Arts lecturers at West Thames College all have a wealth of industry experience. Whether it’s theatre, music or dance, our students are constantly exposed to key industry figures and gain first hand experience of life as a working performer. It’s hugely important that our students are prepared for life in the industry and by maintaining these links, coupled with our own experience as performers, we help them achieve this goal."
