West Thames College

All the Support You Need to Succeed

West Thames College has an excellent reputation for the additional support we give to our students. This has helped us to become one of the most successful colleges in London.

Personal Tutor

All full time [Full-time courses consist of 12-16 hours study per week. International students on full-time courses must study a minimum of 15 hours per week.] students have a Personal Tutor who will support you throughout your course, making sure you stay on track and you succeed with your studies. You will have a weekly group tutorial with your Personal Tutor when you will discuss relevant issues to help with your studies, plus one-to-one sessions to discuss your progress and set targets.

Learning Support

If you need extra support with your studies, or you are dyslexic or have a learning difficulty, you can receive one-to-one or small group support from our Skills Development team to help you complete your coursework. We can also update your dyslexia assessment or complete a dyslexia diagnosis with you. There may be a charge for this service for international students.

English Support

If, like many of our students, English is not your first language we can offer additional English classes, workshops and one-to-one support alongside your studies.

Counselling and Medical Advice

Free and confidential advice is available if you have any personal problems or need information about health or medical issues.
