Nail Services - NVQ Level 2
This course, based in our Isleworth beauty salons, covers manicure and pedicure, anatomy and physiology, artificial nails, nail art and health and safety. You will also take part in salon administration and reception duties.

Level: Level 2
Mode: Full-time
Timetable: This is a full-time course. You will attend college for three to five days per week, Monday to Friday, usually between 9am and 5pm. You will receive your timetable when you enrol.
Start Date: September 2010

- Who is This Course For?
This course is ideal for anyone who likes to work with people and is interested in working in the vibrant and fashionable nail industry -- in a nail bar, salon, cruise ship or as a self-employed nail technician.
- Entry Requirements
- You should have a good general education with 2 GCSEs at grade A*-C preferably in English and a science subject.
- About the course
You will study:
- manicure and pedicure
- anatomy and physiology
- artificial nails
- nail art
- health and safety.
You will also take part in salon administration and reception duties.
- How will I be assessed?
- You will be continually assessed in salons whilst working on clients by means of unit tests and assignments.

- You can find relevant employment in a salon or progress to an NVQ Level 3 in Nail Services.
