- Those wishing to gain the first stages in bookkeeping / accountancy qualifications. The qualifications are suitable for anyone looking for a qualification as the starting point for a career in bookkeeping and accounts.

- You should have basic literacy and numeracy skills.

You will learn to:
- Process documents using double-entry bookkeeping
- Prepare statements as preliminaries to financial control
- Display information about businesses' financial states.
- How will I be assessed?
- You will sit a formal exam on the last session of the course.
- Where next?
- When you successfully complete this course, you will be qualified for employment in a junior role in an accounts office, and would normally progress to the Level 2 course.
