Entry Requirements
You do not need any qualifications for this course. You will have an initial assessment to establish your level of English and an initial maths assessment. You will also have an interview to find out about your previous educational experience and your hopes for the future, and to give you a chance to ask questions and discuss the possibility of following a vocational or academic pathway.

Additional Opportunities
The course includes visits to local places of interest and you will receive advice on careers and further courses.
How will I be assessed?

You will work towards an Entry 3 or Level 1 qualification in English by building a portfolio of work throughout the year and taking Skills for Life exams in English and maths. Students with a strong background in mathematics may be entered for GCSE.

You will also work towards the City and Guilds 7262-01 Certificate for IT Users which is assessed through a combination of online multiple-choice tests and practical assignments.
