Who is This Course For?
Anyone who wants to learn to create pages for the world wide web.
Entry Requirements
You should have used a computer before and be able to use a web browser to look at web pages. If you have any questions about whether the course is right for you, please ask Admissions for advice.
About the course
Working on Mac computers, you will learn to use MacroMedia DreamWeaver 8 and Adobe Photoshop 6 to create web pages. Macromedia Flash and Adobe InDesign are also available. You will build a complete website beginning with HTML code and then using Dreamweaver layout and table functions, hyperlinks, image formats and Flash buttons. The course also covers how to make your site look good and load quickly.
How will I be assessed?
Through ongoing assessment of your classwork. There is no end of course exam.
Where next?
You may wish to go on to further study in multimedia or media, or seek employment in web design.
