West Thames College

Choosing a Subject

Deciding which subject you should study can be difficult, so it's best to take your time and explore all your options before committing yourself.

Advice about Choosing a Subject

When thinking about a subject, the most important questions to ask yourself are:

  • Are you any good at it?
  • Does it really interest you?

The two elements of ability and interest are often linked together, but you could be good at something that you don't want to study. It's important to pick a subject that you feel excited about, because your motivation will be crucial to your success.

Think about what you have previously enjoyed studying most. Go for a subject that you are passionate about and West Thames College will help you to achieve your dreams.
