Team Leading - ILM Introductory Award

This course covers the roles and responsibilities of the team leader, effective communications, coaching skills, motivating the team, dealing with conflict and fulfilling customer requirements. It leads to a nationally recognised management award in team leading.

Start Date: September 2010 This 22-hour course can also be studied flexibly for specific groups by negotiation.

Current and potential team leaders.
Entry Requirements
No formal qualifications are required, but you should preferably be working and have report writing and literacy skills.
About the course

You will study the following topics:

  • The role and responsibilities of the team leader
  • Effective communications
  • Coaching
  • Motivating the team
  • Dealing with conflict
  • Fulfilling customer requirements.

You will be supported throughout the course with tutorial sessions and advice on project work.

How will I be assessed?
Through a written assessment based on the programme content.
Where next?
When you successfully complete this course you can go on to the Certificate in Team Leading.
