Our experienced sports professionals will develop your skills in teambuilding, problem-solving and self-discipline and will help you to gain Sports Leadership, Lifeguard or Coaching qualifications.
As a student on our Sports courses, you'll get to use our sports hall, fitness suite and outdoor sports pitches. Studying these Fitness courses, you'll get the chance to participate in outdoor activities including camping, canoeing, orienteering, abseiling and climbing and also have the opportunity to join one of the college's successful sports teams.

After graduating in Sport Studies and Business at Southampton Solent University, Matt served as a police officer for Hampshire Police Force. Matt took up his current post at West Thames College after successfully teaching Public Services at Barnfield College in Luton, and Carshalton College in Surrey. Matt is also experienced in hospitality, tourism marketing and recruitment.
