As part of the course, we’ve done some great activities including a three-day camping trip where we had to build tents, cook over fires and trek across the countryside. It was great fun and really helped the group work together as a team.”

Matt Evans
Curriculum Team Manager for Public Services, Sport and Travel & Tourism
After graduating in Sport Studies and Business at Southampton Solent University, Matt served as a police officer for Hampshire Police Force. Matt took up his current post at West Thames College after successfully teaching Public Services at Barnfield College in Luton, and Carshalton College in Surrey. Matt is also experienced in hospitality, tourism marketing and recruitment.
