    Having Just been awarded £15,000 by Creative Scotland, the Scottish Government’s arts funding body, to run an art project called ‘The Glasgow Effect’, controversial political performance artist Ellie Harrison, a West Thames Foundation Diploma in Art and Design student from 1998, has featured in almost all major newspapers this month.

    Zaynab, who studies Level 3 Health and Care wrote Imperfect Rose, a play to raise awareness of FGM. It was performed on Thursday 10th December as part of a charity day at the college, in London Road, held to help stamp out the cruel and illegal practice.

    West Thames College staff and students enjoyed the successful trial launch of our 20ft long airstream, donated by Sky. Catering students along with college caterer, Aramark prepared and served a range of delicious pan-Asian cuisine.

    George takes on the Rickshaw Challenge

    West Thames College student George Griffiths has been selected to take part in The One Show’s Rickshaw Challenge. This year’s team will cover a 470 mile journey from Land’s End to the East End to help fundraise for BBC Children in Need.
