Back to Work Advice Day

On Tuesday 10 November, the Employer Engagement team ran a ‘Back to Work Advice Day’ as part of Colleges Week – a national celebration of the opportunities colleges create for individuals, businesses and Britain. The event was aimed at local unemployed people and saw representatives from Job Centre Plus, Acton Training Centre, TLE Training and The Edge offering advice on free intensive vocational courses available in West London. The courses are funded by the LSC and have been set-up as a direct result of the current economic climate.
The event was well attended throughout the day and resulted in many visitors being referred onto programmes - the first of whom started on a Customer Service and Security course just two days later.
