Staff and students from West Thames College’s Feltham Skills Centre delighted guests at a charity ball on Saturday 25 September by creating 120 delicious desserts for the occasion. Catering lecturers James Unwin and Neal Hook (not pictured), ably aided by talented students Kimberly Canning and Piotr Zerebecki, created a mouth-watering selection of desserts including champagne bavorois with fresh raspberries, lemon soufflés in a white chocolate ramekin, dark chocolate mousse cake and a raspberry meringue torte.
The Michaelmas Ball, held at St Michael & All Angels Church in Barnes, saw guests also enjoy dinner, dancing, and a luxurious raffle in order to raise funds for the local community as well as for a cloister in the church garden.

Event organiser Anne Gretton approached the college to provide desserts for the function and was delighted with the results. “The dishes provided by the staff and students at the Feltham Skills Centre were fantastic,” she said. “They created desserts that looked and tasted so delicious that people were queuing for second helpings!”
