On Wednesday 11 July, West Thames College celebrated the completion of the Isleworth Campus redevelopment with a launch party. College governors, civic dignitaries, descendants of the Pears family, educational partners and past employees were invited to explore the inspiring new facilities.
After a tour of the buildings and newly landscaped campus, guests were given a champagne reception in the magnificently refurbished music room of Spring Grove House, our Grade II listed conference and training centre. Speeches were given and architect Rupert Wheeler presented a commemorative sketch depicting the building works to our college principal Marjorie Semple.
Guests were impressed with the scale, quality and thoughtfulness of the transformation. Sally Smith from Hounslow Chamber of Commerce said "I love the way that the modern architecture complements Spring Grove House. Changes to the campus layout have opened up new vistas".
