22 March 2012

On Wednesday 22 March, West Thames College student Kasjan Stocki was invited to London to take part in a live BBC radio broadcast. The second-year business student spent four hours on Shelagh Fogarty's (pictured above) BBC Radio 5Live show for a Budget 2012 special, broadcasting live from the famous College Green located in the shadows of the Houses of Parliament.
Kasjan, along with a handful of other audience members representing the differing sections of society affected by the budget, asked questions live on air to finance expert Martin Lewis about the impact that the 2012 budget would have on students.

“It was really interesting listening to the budget live as it happened and seeing the reactions of those affected by the changes,” Kasjan said. “To be involved in a national radio show was a fantastic experience and the whole day was very special.”
