(L-R) Makeup students Rosie Belsey, Katie Oropallo, Bethany Dyson, Lucy Workman on stage with the L'Oreal ID Artistic team and their colour technicians.
On 17 June, students from the BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Makeup and Hair design gained valuable industry experience by working on a live shoot with L’Oreal – the world's largest cosmetics and beauty company.
Students Rosie Belsey, Katie Oropallo, Lucy Workman and Bethany Dyson worked alongside the acclaimed L'Oreal ID Artistic team, assisting with their designs and answering questions from a packed audience on how they achieved their models’ looks.
Kelli Brookes, L’Oreal Professional Technical Consultant said, “The girls showed amazing professionalism when working with our team and models and produced some stunning looks... I am sure that they will have every success with their future careers.”
L’Oreal were so impressed with our students that they’ve asked the college to work with them at the World Skills 2011 Opening Ceremony at the O2 this October and also on similar live shoots in the future.
