Learners from our Adult Social Care Cadetship celebrated with their tutors on Wednesday 18 July at a graduation party in Spring Grove House. The 16 week intensive course aims to provide local unemployed residents with a hands-on entry route into a career in care.
The cadets studied at West Thames College for health and safety qualifications and went on work experience placements to give them the practical skills needed to become a carer. Nine of the cadets have received job offers due to their hard work, commitment and achievements.
The Adult Social Care Cadetship was funded and developed by the London Borough of Hounslow, West Thames College, Jobcentre Plus and local employers.
