Stardom Beckons for Rizwan after NYT Success

Performing Arts student Rizwan Shebani was celebrating this week after securing a place in the world famous National Youth Theatre. Seventeen year-old Rizwan auditioned for the NYT in February along with 4700 other hopefuls – of which only 500 were chosen.
As part of his success, Rizwan will now attend a two-week summer workshop at the prestigious Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance. West Thames College are sponsoring the talented student £500 towards the cost of the course.
“This is a life-changing opportunity for me and I’m really excited about being involved in the NYT’s future productions,” said Rizwan. “The theatre has had lots of famous members in the past including Matt Smith, Daniel Craig and Idris Elba so I’m really proud of my achievement.”
