If you’ve already applied for a course at West Thames College, the next step is to enrol onto your chosen course!

If you don’t get the grades you expected, please don’t worry! Come along and talk to one of our advisors who will be happy to discuss your options with you and recommend any suitable courses you can enrol onto.

If you haven’t applied yet, it’s not too late! Choose from one of our great courses and fill out an application form. You’ll then be able to enrol to become an official West Thames College student.

Decided which course you want to study? The next step is to enrol. Everything you need to know about enrolment is below:

  • When Can I Enrol?

    Our Isleworth campus and the Skills + Logistics Centre, Feltham are open for enrolment. Once you have been given an appointment for enrolment you will need to make sure that you go to the campus where your course is based.

    If you want to study Construction, Engineering or Motor Vehicle Maintenance courses, go to the Skills + Logistics Centre to enrol: 77 Boundaries Road, Feltham, TW13 4DR.

    You can enrol immediately on your new course. Contact our Information Centre team to book your enrolment appointment straight away. Come to the college on the date and time of your appointment, where you will then be enrolled on your new course and also be given your student card and timetable.

  • How Do I Enrol?

    Visit the college on any of the above dates as early as possible to ensure you secure your place on your course.

    It’s important that you bring with you your ID and evidence of exam results (along with details of any loans or financial assistance you’re applying for if you’re aged 19+).

    Already applied and received an offer?

    Got the results you need? Just come along to the college and we’ll get you through the enrolment process – becoming an official West Thames College student, ready to start your course this September!

    I didn’t get the results I need – What next?

    We have a huge range of courses available at all levels, so if your results are lower than expected, make sure you still visit the college to enrol. Our Careers & Guidance team will help you discuss your options and help you get onto the right course, ready to start in September.

    Applied and not received an offer / I haven’t applied yet

    Just come along to one of our enrolment days. We’ll make sure you speak to the right people and ensure that you’re enrolled onto the right course for you. Our Careers & Guidance team will help you discuss your options. You can apply and enrol on the same day!

  • What Happens At Enrolment?
    This will depend on the course you’ve chosen and if you’ve already applied or not, but will include:

    Filling in an application form (if you have already received an offer you skip this step)

    Speaking with a tutor to check through your academic evidence (certificates etc), and confirm the course you want to enrol on

    Enrolling you onto your course to make you an official West Thames College student - which includes taking your photos for your College ID card!

    You may also have:

    English & Maths assessments if you are unable to provide evidence of your English & Maths GCSE grades. These assessments are not exams, they're just to check your current level so we can make sure you’re enrolled onto the right course.

  • What Do I Need To Bring?
    To enrol you will need to bring:

    Exam result slips or certificates

    Enrolment letter and course offer (if you have received any)

    Evidence of any loans you will be receiving, including Student Loan and Advanced Learner Loan (if applicable)

    If you’re not an EU national you will also need to bring the following:

    Evidence of your right to live and study in the UK

    ID (e.g passport)

    If you’re on income-based benefits and looking at a fee discount:

    Evidence of benefits received in your household (e.g. official notification letter, or bank statement dated within the last two months showing your current address)

    Your National Insurance number if you receive JSA or ESA
  • When Does My Course Start?
    You will be given the date for your induction at enrolment. During your induction you will receive an introduction to the college, and kick start the beginning of your course.

    Fulltime courses begin week commencing 09 September

    Part time courses begin week commencing 16 September
