This qualification is designed to help learners progress onto higher level qualifications in childcare and education, which may eventually result in job roles such as practitioner in day nurseries, nursery schools, reception classes in primary schools or pre-school worker

Entry Requirements
Two or more GCSEs at grades 9-3/ A*-D (or overseas equivalent) including English language or FSKL level 1 English or a pass at level 1 Health and Social care or childcare qualification. You will have an interview and assessment to ascertain your suitable for level two course.

Progression
Upon successful completion of the course, you will be able to progress to the Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (EYE) or level 3 Certificate in Health and Social Care

Assessment Method
Your work will be assessed by your teacher using a range of methods including written tasks such as designing a leaflet or booklet, or setting up an information board, practical tasks and professional discussion.
You will have work placement opportunities that will support practical assessment in real work environment.
