This qualification is designed to provide learners with the knowledge, skills, and understanding of web design. It is suitable for anyone thinking of changing careers and looking for something practical and creative that they can explore.
You will study:
- The roles and responsibilities found within a web design team
- How to create a web page using Hypertext Markup Language (HTML)
- Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to format text and understand colours and backgrounds
- Use JavaScript and the Document Object Model (DOM) to access and change elements, attributes, and contents.

Entry Requirements
There are flexible entry requirements based on knowledge and experience. However, applicants must have completed a level 3 qualification and achieved English and Maths at grade 4 – 9 or A-C or equivalent.

Upon successful completion, learners could progress to qualifications at level 4 or employment as a junior web Designer.
