This two-year (Year 1 - HNC), full-time course offers a combination of programming, website design and networking skills within a mobile app development environment. It is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge you need for a career in the rapidly evolving world of computer technologies.
Students who successfully complete the HNC in the first year will be able to progress onto the HND Level 5 course in the second year.

The course covers these 8 units in the second year in addition to 8 units in HNC:

- Digital image creation and development
- Project design, implementation and evaluation
- Digital forensics
- Network security
- Computer games design and development
- Programming in .NET
- Programming in Java
The course is entirely coursework based.

Entry Requirements
You should have one A Level or an equivalent qualification, such as BTEC Level 3, with at least 120 UCAS points for entry in year 1 (HNC), or a suitable HNC qualification with the right units for entry in year 2. Applicants without a formal qualification but who have relevant work experience may be considered on an individual basis (HNC only). Progression
After successfully completing the HND, you can apply to the second or third year of a university degree course. This can lead to employment in fields such as website or apps developer, software developer or tester, IT technical support, system support engineer, computer technician or network technician etc.
