This two-year course (equivalent to 3 A Levels) focuses on aspects of engineering from the manufacturing sectors. It is based in our modern engineering workshops at the West Thames College Skills + Logistics Centre, Feltham where you will learn specialist skills and knowledge related to managing engineering projects, CAD, CAM, CNC, electronics and welding. There will be an engineering project in the second year.
The Diploma is equivalent to two A Levels and the Extended Diploma is equivalent to three A Levels. This program can lead to higher education or apprenticeship.

Entry Requirements
At least 4 GCSEs at grades A*-C / grades 9-4 including maths or a merit or distinction in a relevant subject at Level 2 with functional skills in English and maths. Progression
HND or BSc degree at university, or find employment or an advanced apprenticeship in design, planning, drafting, welding and fabrication, finishing, machining, semiconductor processing or electrical and mechanical production engineering.

Assessment will be based on completion of assignments and set coursework which go together to produce your final portfolio.
