About the Course
This qualification includes mandatory units (those considered essential for learners to achieve). Additional units are also included to offer learners the option of continuing and broadening their studies in specific areas of interest. Learners will develop their knowledge of how to: - Complete a cycle check. - Complete a puncture repair. - Remove and replace gear assembly, rim brake assembly, hub bearings, bottom brackets, cranks and gear systems. - Build a cycle wheel. - Prepare frames and forks. - Augment a cycle. - Change a cycle frame. - Service headset assemblies.

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification and learners are not expected to have any prior knowledge or experience, however an interest in the subject area is advisable.
