This qualification aims to develop the knowledge and skills required when providing positive care for people with dementia and their families. The Level 2 Award provides an awareness of the causes and symptoms of dementia. This qualification is aligned to the National Dementia Strategy. Anyone who wants to work in social care in either local authority or private care environments. It is also suitable for qualified practitioners who have not covered dementia care in previous qualifications.

Assessment Method
It will be assessed by your Tutor or Assessor using a range of methods. This could include direct observation in the workplace, a portfolio of evidence, written assignments or a task.
