About the Course
This course will encourage you to be adventurous and open minded in exploring a wide range of materials and processes through a series of mini projects. You will develop personal skills and confidence in a range of creative design theories linked to artists and designer investigations, through research investigations and a gallery or exhibition visit. You will be given the opportunity to collaborate with your peers and develop personal presentation skills that you can use to showcase your artwork through digital portfolios, social media and blogs.

None but you may be asked to take part in an interview to discuss your interest in the subject.

Progression
You may wish to progress to a full Diploma in Art & Design or Digital upon successfully completing this two unit introduction course.

Assessment Method
This course is a University of the Arts London (UAL) specification and at the end of the ten weeks, you will achieve a Level 2 Award in Art & Design. This course is made up of two units of work which will contain a mixture of practical and written elements, which you'll showcase through a personal blog. Unit 1 Introduction to materials, processes and technical skills in art & design. Unit 2 Introduction to contextual research in art & design.
