T-Levels

Qualifications with work placements to take you to the next level.

T-Levels offer you:

- An alternative to A levels, apprenticeships and other 16 to 19 courses
- A qualification equivalent to three A Levels
- Routes for students into skilled employment, higher study or apprenticeships
- An in-depth industry placement that lasts at least 45 days. Students get valuable experience in the workplace; employers get early sight of the new talent in their industry.

How does it work?

You will spend 80% of the course in your learning environment, gaining the skills that employers need. The other 20% is a meaningful industry placement, where you put your learnt skills into action.

What subjects do West Thames College offer?

We are planning to offer two courses starting in September 2023:

Digital Production, Design & Development	Health

Two new T-Levels are launching in September 2024: Business and Administration and Construction.

Entry requirements

Digital Production, Design & Development: Four Grade 4-9s at GCSE, including a minimum of Grade 4 in GCSE Maths. Students who completed BTEC Level 2 at a distinction level with GCSE maths grade 4 can also apply.

Health: At least 5 GCSE 9-4 including Maths, Science and English. You can also access this programme through our new Health T-Level Transition Programme.
