Foundation Learning courses are designed to give you the skills to progress to Level 2. This course is for students whose first language is not English and is ideal for those progressing from an ESOL 16-18 course.

- Managing your health
- Working in business administration
- Recording business transactions
- Planning for and taking part in a visit
- Planning for a job in Travel and Tourism.
You will also work towards an ESOL and Maths qualification.

Entry Requirements
Applicants with no GCSE passes (or equivalent) or those not studying towards GCSEs will be offered a place on our Level 1 provision. To study on this programme students will need to demonstrate an ability to achieve Level 1 English and maths by the end of the course. This provision is appropriate for applicants with additional support needs and/or an EHCP.
Next move - Depending on level achieved, progress onto a Level 2 course, an Apprenticeship or employment.

Progression
If you successfully complete all the modules you can progress to a Level 2 course, such as the BTEC Level 2 First Extended Certificate / BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Business or Level 2 NCFE in Business Administration.

Assessment Method
All vocational units are assessed through practical assignments which are graded and an overall qualification grade calculated from the unit grades.
