About the Course
This course will equip you with the skills you need make the most of your mobile phone, apps and other digital services.
The OCNLR Entry Level Award in Essential Digital Skills for Everyday Life (Entry 3) is a qualification that has been developed in accordance with the DfE National Standards for Essential Digital Skills
You will study:
- Using devices and handling information - using hardware and software, searching and navigating.
- Creating and editing - using apps to enter and edit information, capturing/saving multimedia.
- Communicating - sending and receiving communications.
- Transactions - e-commerce and buying online
- Being safe and responsible online - being safe online, protecting your data, etc.

There is funding available for this qualification from the following source(s): Adult Skills, EFA 16-19, Section 96.
The Government will provide entitlement funding for learners aged 16-19 and 19+ (employed or unemployed) who have a foundation of limited digital skills and are taking Ofqual approved Essential Digital Skills qualifications.

Entry Requirements
Applicants with no GCSE passes (or equivalent) or those not studying towards GCSEs will be offered a place on our Level 1 provision. To study on this programme students will need to demonstrate an ability to achieve Level 1 English and maths by the end of the course. This provision is appropriate for applicants with additional support needs and/or an EHCP.
Next move - Depending on level achieved, progress onto a Level 2 course, an Apprenticeship or employment.
