About the Course
This qualification starts with the basics of makeup application and hair styling and moves you through to the creative art of applying photographic make-up and the ability to create a hair and beauty image based on a theme. Underpinning this qualification you will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety practicein a salon environment.

Entry Requirements
Applicants for level 2 - intermediate courses should have at least two GCSEs at grade 3 or above or equivalent and/or a pass in a relevant Level 1 qualification, or relevant experience for mature applicants.
Next move - Progress onto a relevant level 3 advanced course or onto an Apprenticeship or into employment.

Assessment Method
Through continual assessment of practical and written work, some multi choice paper testing of knowledge, tasks and assignments. All students must be available for the yearly external verifier visit.
