Entry Requirements
Applicants for level 3 - advanced courses should have at least four GCSEs at grade A*-C/9-4, including at least one in GCSE English or maths at grade 4 or above, or a relevant level 2 vocational qualification, at merit or distinction (where grades are awarded).
Next move - Higher education at college or university or a job.

Progression
You can progress your career in salon management or take teacher training or assessor awards.

Assessment Method
You will work towards a Level 3 qualification in hairdressing through practical assessments and by building a portfolio of work throughout the year. There are four areas of assessment:
- Practical: You complete the task
- Oral: You answer questions on your underpinning knowledge
- Written: A portfolio of evidence or a written test or assignment depending on the unit.
- Online tests.
