This course provides an introduction to the motor vehicle industry and will enable you to develop skills in car maintenance. It is held in the specialist motor vehicle workshops at our Skills Centre in Feltham.

Develop your understanding of how modern vehicles work with this knowledge-based course. You'll explore key systems including engines, braking, steering, suspension and electrical components, alongside essential workshop health and safety.
This course is ideal if you're new to motor vehicles or progressing from Level 1, and want to build the knowledge needed for hands-on training.

Entry Requirements
Applicants should have achieved a Level 1 Certificate in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent), or be able to demonstrate suitable motor vehicle skills, knowledge, and relevant practical experience to study at Level 2.
