Project SEARCH is an international supported internship programme, for young adults with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism, which supports their transition from education to full time, paid employment. A yearly cohort of up to twelve interns have three different extended work rotations at the Sheraton Skyline Hotel, London Heathrow, taught by a West Thames College teacher and supported by a full-time job coach employed by Kaleidoscope.

About the Course
The programme provides on-site practical work training at the Sheraton Skyline Hotel, London Heathrow, where interns will be based for 5 days a week. In addition, interns will work towards a City and Guilds level 1 qualification in Employability Skills which take place on the on-site training room. Example job rotations, work experience: Reception, Office Administration, Restaurant, Kitchen.

Entry Requirements
This course is for young people with a current Education Health and Care Plan, Be aged 17-24, Have the desire to work towards a goal of paid employment, Be committed to a 5 day week programme, Be an independent traveller or be undertaking travel training, If you are accepted on to Project SEARCH, you will be invited to attend a skills assessment day. On this day, you will be able to meet other applicants, the Project SEARCH team and ask any questions you have about the programme.

Progression
When you graduate from the programme, you will be supported to find paid employment.

Assessment Method
You will study three separate units: Effective Communication Working as Part of a Team Preparing for Work Through training and direct work experience, young adults will develop employability skills, self-confidence, job specific skills and Maths, English and ICT skills whilst working alongside employees in a real employment setting.
