West Thames College is a fun and vibrant college. There's always something exciting happening and it's a great place to meet new friends.
There's lots of fun activities for students throughout the year. You can take part in lunchtime leisure activities, tournaments, talent shows, trips, competitions, awareness-raising and charity fundraising events.
Students have raised money doing weird and wonderful things for Children in Need, breast cancer awareness, the British Heart Foundation, the Terrence Higgins Trust, the Shooting Star Trust and much more.
Don’t miss this fun event during induction week! It’s a great opportunity to meet new friends and find out about student activities and discounts for travel, films, restaurants and shops – not to mention the karaoke!
In June the college becomes a hive of creative activity – students show off their talent with art and design exhibitions, fashion and specialist makeup catwalk shows, film and video screenings and live indoor and outdoor music, dance and drama performances. Industry talent scouts come to our shows and snap up our students for top jobs.

If you're into the Creative Arts, this is a must see event. Make sure your name's on the guest list - email our Creative Arts Administrator.
As a student you gain automatic membership of the NUS. You will then be eligible to buy an NUS card, which gives you discounts for lots of high street shops and leisure activities and costs just £11.
You can also get involved with student governance and have your say through our Students' Union.
