Events

DFN Project SEARCH is a one-year transition to work programme for young adults with a learning disability or autism spectrum conditions, or both. We believe in empowering all young people to enter the workplace with confidence.

To learn more about West Thames College's DFN Project SEARCH, we would like to invite students with an EHCP (Educational Health and Care Plan) aged 17-24 years old and their parents/carers to our Open Event at our Isleworth campus from 5pm – 7pm, 31 January, 2024:

About DFN Project SEARCH

At DFN Project SEARCH, we work hard to challenge and change cultures, demonstrating how young people with a learning disability can enrich the workforce, bring their incredible skills and talent, encourage greater diversity and meet a real business need.

West Thames College has one project over two sites, London Borough of Hounslow (LBH) and GSK Global Headquarters in Brentford, providing supported employment internships for young people in their last year of education, helping them to take positive first steps into the world of work.  At the end of the programme, on average 70% of DFN Project SEARCH graduates gain jobs.
