This course is for students who are interested in a career as a plumber and covers domestic pipework used in plumbing, hot and cold water, central heating pipework, electrical safety, environmental awareness and health and safety in the workplace.

About the Course
The course includes workshop-based practical training in plumbing skills, together with practical assessment, theory tuition and theory assessment. You will also improve your key skills in numeracy, literacy and ICT.

Entry Requirements
Applicants for level 2 - intermediate courses should have at least two GCSEs at grade 3 or above or equivalent and/or a pass in a relevant Level 1 qualification, or relevant experience for mature applicants.
Next move - Progress onto a relevant level 3 advanced course or onto an Apprenticeship or into employment.

Progression
You can progress to an NVQ Level 3 course, such as the City & Guilds Diploma in Plumbing and Domestic Heating or an advanced apprenticeship.

Assessment Method
Assessment will include on-site assessments of your practical installation skills, computer based multi question exams and workshop assessment.
