Students, staff, families and friends came together this summer to celebrate the outstanding achievements of learners across the Arts and Media curriculum at the West Thames College Art, Media and Music Awards 2026.
The event showcased an impressive range of student work from Music, Creative Design, Digital Design, Media and Animation, highlighting the creativity, technical skill and dedication demonstrated throughout the academic year. From innovative design projects and engaging media productions to original musical performances and animation work, the exhibition reflected the breadth of talent across the College's creative programmes.

The awards ceremony recognised not only artistic excellence but also the resilience, commitment and personal growth shown by students as they developed new skills and challenged themselves creatively throughout their studies.
Guests were welcomed by Janna Cooper, CQTM in Arts and Media, who praised the achievements of students and the quality of work produced this year.
Janna said: “We are immensely proud of all our students. The skills you have developed, the creativity you have demonstrated, and the work you have produced this year are a testament to your passion and determination. This event is a celebration of your achievements and the incredible journey each of you has undertaken.”
The College was also delighted to welcome two former students back to help present the awards. Dante Donley, who studied Film Studies and Creative Media at West Thames College before progressing to Kingston University and establishing a successful acting career, joined the celebrations alongside Dilara Gelhasan, who began her creative journey at West Thames, went on to study Fine Art and Graphic Design, and now works as a Graphic Designer at the College.
Their return provided current students with inspiring examples of the exciting opportunities that can emerge from studying creative subjects and pursuing a passion for the arts.
The afternoon was a fitting celebration of student success, bringing together the College community to recognise the hard work, talent and ambition that define Arts and Media education at West Thames College.
Congratulations to all award winners and participants on their fantastic achievements.
