This Skills Bootcamp is fully funded by the Department for Education as part of the government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee. This means eligible learners can access high-quality training at no cost, removing financial barriers and ensuring more adults can upskill or retrain. By investing in Skills Bootcamps, the government aims to support local employers, strengthen the workforce, and create clear pathways into good jobs across key sectors.

By completing the Skills Bootcamp, participants will gain essential knowledge and practical skills needed to thrive in Health and Social Care, supported through real-world activities and hands-on learning experiences. Learners will achieve the NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care, a nationally recognised qualification that strengthens employability and progression. Throughout the programme, students benefit from comprehensive wraparound support including career coaching, CV development, and interview preparation, with additional learning or accessibility support available for those who need it. Many participants will also have the opportunity to access guaranteed job interviews or clear pathways into further training, helping them take confident next steps into the sector.

To be accepted onto this course you must be aged 19+, living in London, with the right to work in the UK, and not in full-time education during the Bootcamp.

In addition, you need to have a good level of English and a willingness to learn. As you will be working with vulnerable people, roles within the sector typically require a clear Enhance Disclosure and Barring check, employer induction and evidence of specific immunisations as per employer policy.
