About the Course
This qualification starts with the basics of makeup application and hair styling and moves you through to the creative art of applying photographic make-up and the ability to create a hair and beauty image based on a theme. Underpinning this qualification you will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety practicein a salon environment.

Entry Requirements
You should have a good general educational background with good written English. GCSE Biology is an advantage. You must be highly motivated and able to practice your treatments at home. We recommend that you spend at least 4 hours of home study per week in order to successfully achieve this qualification.

Assessment Method
Through continual assessment of practical and written work, some multi choice paper testing of knowledge, tasks and assignments. All students must be available for the yearly external verifier visit.
