Apprenticeships

Employers

The Government has a set a target of 3 million apprenticeship starts by 2020. How does that affect you?

Benefits of hiring an apprentice

  • An apprentice will work alongside your experienced staff to gain on-the-job training and skills, just the way you want it.
  • Once trained, an apprentice will become a valuable member of the team, helping to increase productivity.
  • Trained staff are more likely to stay and progress within the business, improving morale and reducing recruitment and training costs in the long term.

An apprenticeship is a great way to bring in new staff with fresh ideas and to upskill existing staff.

In return you will be expected to

  • Employ your apprentice for a minimum of 12 months, working a minimum of 30 hours per week.
  • Pay your apprentices a wage – the London average is £190 p/w.
  • Ensure that apprentices receive suitable training either at the college and/or at the workplace.

How can we help?

  • Find candidates or train existing staff
  • Train your apprentice to a nationally recognised qualification
  • Support you through the admin.

Did you know from April 2017 all employers will be charged an apprenticeship levy of 0.5% of your pay roll each month? All employers will have an allowance of £15,000, which means that the levy is applicable on pay bill over the first £3,000,000.

Let our team help you make the most of levy to recruit, train and upskill your staff. Contact Jasmine on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or call 07912780097
