Background

- The apprenticeship training was primarily in Business Admin and Accounting for over 30 different roles across a variety of departments including the Events Team, Customer Services, Accounts Team, Democratic Services and Skills and Employment Team.
What did we do?

- Delivered expert formal training each week at the college.
- Supported the apprentices to achieve qualifications in English and maths.
- Worked with the University of West London to create the Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship to encourage apprentices to continue their training and development.
The results

- Apprentices have grown in confidence and now feel they can do anything.
- The London Borough of Hounslow acknowledge the huge contribution the apprentices have made to the Council.
- Over 90% of staff agreed that their service area had improved in efficiency as a result of having an apprentice on their team.
